ARE YOU READY FOR A CHALLENGE?

Face Paint Shop Australia is offering two artists a spectacular sponsorship package for the upcoming Australian Body Art Festival in Cooroy, S/E Queensland from April 7 to 9 inclusive - just take a look at what's included!

For two lucky artists, we'll cover accommodation for 3 nights in a luxury guest house, entry fees and some meals... and your models have already been organised!

If successful, as a sponsored artist, you will represent Face Paint Shop Australia as part of our little team in two categories over two days - Body Painting, brush & sponge, and Face Painting.

About the event

I was lucky enough to attend this festival as an event sponsor and spectator in 2014 and it was lots of fun to watch. The organisers create a great platform to showcase the face paint and body art 'industry' to a wider audience, as well as taking good care of the competing artists and models. The atmosphere among competitors was relaxed and supportive, which is a credit to everyone involved. Just look at the turnout (below) for the catwalk show and presentation.

Of course the event is also a fantastic opportunity showcase your own talents, to challenge yourself and push beyond your comfort zone, and just as importantly, to enjoy time with peers.

OUR SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE

Speaking of... we have two packages available!

One is reserved for an artist who has never competed before - and the other is open to all artists who have some experience in a live competition  (in the face and body paint industry).

Each entry will be judged on it's individual merit.

For our experienced competitor, we're looking for someone who can demonstrate skill and expertise, as well as a willingness to provide some friendly mentorship to their team mate, the first timer. Not as an instructor, but a few pointers here and there as we go. I don't want to distract you from your game, but this will be a team environment and a team approach will be an asset.

I'm not worried about winning (nonetheless I wish you all the very best and will be cheering for you both)... but I am looking to foster cooperation as much as talent and have fun along the way.

So hopefully this appeals to you.

And don't worry - your artistic integrity and vision is yours to pursue. As your sponsor, I'm happy to offer my opinion and assistance if asked for - otherwise I'm just there to support you, make sure you're comfortable, and cheer loudly!

What's included?

Here's what's included in our sponsorship package;

• 3 nights accommodation in a luxury guest house (your own room, Friday 7th to Sunday 9th inclusive);
• Entry fees to 2 competition events;
• Models (both events) - photos will be provided as soon as your application is confirmed;
• Pick up from the airport on arrival (if needed). And, if possible, I'll also take you to the airport for your return - otherwise you may need to book your own taxi - closest airport is at Maroochydore, about 30 minutes drive;
• Transport to and from the event on both Saturday and Sunday;
• Some meals - breakfast Saturday, Sunday and Monday, lunch Saturday and Sunday (& snacks);
• A team apron, T-shirt and cap;
• $100 worth of product from Face Paint Shop Australia - just for representing us;
• If you win your category - you keep the prizes!;
• Lots of support and cheering from me! I will act as your personal assistant during the event, and I'll also take photos to document the process. I'll provide you with digital copies for your portfolio at no cost;
